Being a writer means seeing the world as a series of questions you can’t resist trying to answer. It means never losing your sense of curiosity (and working from a lot of coffee shops to avoid becoming a house troll). In my 15 years as a staff and freelance food editor and writer, I’ve researched everything from pantry pests and pressure cooking to vintage stoves and sauerkraut cake.
